Match the physical conditions

Review metal, liquid, density, surface, attachment, range, orientation, durability, printing and replacement needs. A barcode, NFC construction or RFID tag still needs to be tested on representative items in the actual operating environment.

Line-of-sight scanning, intentional near-field interaction and controlled radio capture create different operator steps and exception paths. Compare how the workflow handles missing identity, duplicate activity, offline devices and ambiguous packaging levels.
